Arts Empowering LIfe presents Veterans Concert: Dona Nobis Pacem
Experience a powerful performance by world renowned Gloriæ Dei Cantores and orchestra to commemorate Veterans Day and express our gratitude for the sacrifices of veterans worldwide. This concert, conducted by Richard K. Pugsley at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, features captivating works by the composer Eriks Ešenvalds, including The Heavenly Flock and The Earthly Rose. Additionally, the concert will showcase two hauntingly beautiful pieces for chorus and orchestra by British composers: Gerald Finzi’s Lo, the Full Final Sacrifice, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem, a moving plea for peace reflecting on the aftermath of World War I and the looming threat of World War II. Join us in honoring those who have served.
