The Brewster Book Store hosts Story time with Katherine Lockwood

Join us for a winter story-time and book signing with local author and educator Katherine Lockwood. Lockwood's recently released Why Me, Mama? was inspired by her daughter Rose, who was diagnosed with Moebious Syndrome. After an unsuccessful search for a book in which her daughter would recognize herself, she created one. Why Me, Mama? is an adorable children's picture book that demonstrates how disabilities are a normal part of life, whether they are visible or not. ~ An educator and parent herself, Lockwood understands and engages easily with children. Her expertise and compassion is readily apparent, and we are delighted to host her for a winter story-time. There will be a Q&A about the WHY behind Why Me, Mama? following story-time plus reading-related goody bags for all kids in attendance.
