Cape Cod’s Official NASA Host Site for the James Webb Space Telescope Community Event
BREWSTER, MA — The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is honored to be selected as the official NASA host site for Cape Cod’s James Webb Space Telescope Community Event Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9:30am-3pm.
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will be the largest telescope in space, 100 times more powerful than Hubble, and able to see back in time almost 13.5 billion years to observe the earliest galaxies.
Join us for this special event that includes over 20 hands-on STEAM activities FOR ALL AGES throughout the Museum and grounds! The day’s activities include:
- Nebula Art Spin
- Stomp Rockets
- Origami Station
- Star Formation
- Pocket Solar System
- Wind Tube Satellites
- What’s the Buzz with Static?
- Moon Ice
- A special presentation by a NASA subject matter expert
This event is FREE to the public but RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED!
