Cape Cod Museum of Natural History: Vampires of New England
The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents a special Halloween Lunch 'n Learn, Vampires of New England, with Medievalist, Susan Jarek-Glidden, PhD, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 12:30 p.m.
New England's vampire history emerged a full century after the region's more infamous Salem witch trials, and although Rhode Island was ostensibly the epicenter, it was a region-wide phenomenon.
Susan has been interested in legends and lores for many years, She first leatned about New England's vampires when her parents gave her a book that contained an article about them. Join Susan at our very special Halloween Lunch 'n Learn for fascinating tales of true case histories and her analysis of Vampires of New England.
Excerpt from the traditional Scottish Poem:
From ghoulies and ghosties
And long-leggedy beasties
And things that go bump in the night,
Good Lord deliver us!
