Event Description:
Our Earth’s climate is warming at an alarming pace. These changes are forever altering the habitats of wildlife that have lived in the polar regions for hundreds of thousands of years. In recent years we were privileged to journey deep into remote polar regions of the Arctic and as well as the Southern Ocean regions of the Antarctic to witness the changes underway. The lecture will feature many images and some stories of our travels over a decade into the earth's most remote Polar Regions to locate and photograph wildlife and also discuss some of the evidence and impacts of the loss of sea ice on the planet and our region due to the warming planet. ~ John and Pam King
