Event Description:
Matt Patterson is owner of Stoneridge Art Studios located in the small town of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, where he grew up. His father was a biology teacher and as a child he was exposed to all kinds of animals. As far back as he can remember, he had the same two interests: wildlife and art. He loved the outdoors and in his free time he was either out fishing, searching for turtles and snakes or painting. Today, things haven?t changed much. He is a professional artist and his work reflects his love for nature...particularly reptiles and amphibians.

In 2010 Matt illustrated his first book titled Freshwater Fish of the Northeast. It won the National Outdoor Book Awards in the category of Design and Artistic Merit. Currently, Matt has illustrated a book that was recently released on reptiles and amphibians titled The Snake and the Salamander Reptiles and Amphibians from Maine to Virginia.  This book just won the National Outdoor Book Awards in the Nature and Environment category.

Matt?s Naturescape Gallery exhibit will encompass prints from The Snake and the Salamander as well as other recent work!
