The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents Naturescape Gallery, Glimpses of the Natural World with photographer Susan Jarek-Glidden November 1- December 20, 2018
Glimpses of the Natrual World attempts to showcase the beauty of Cape Cod. In addition to flora and fauna, Susan has also included weather conditions, several abstracts and "pho-quilts", a photographic genre Susan created that consists of her original photographs cut into shapes. Viewed up close, the indvidual photos can be seen; from a distance, they combine to form a quilt pattern. She hopes that the latter will engage your imagination.
Susan holds a Ph.D. from Boston University and has been interested in photography since she was a little girl. Since that time, her work has been shown in galleries and vatious other venues in New Hampshire, Marblehead, Boston, the U.S.S. Constitution museum, and throughout Cape Cod. She was also chosen ty the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to hold a solo artist show entitled "A Photographer's View of Deer Island". She lives in Youmouthport with her husband Tony and their beloved seal point Siamese cat, Maluska Anastasia.
