Event Description:
The Boch Center’s award-winning festiva,l is presented in Massachusetts by Highland Street Foundation. The Museum is proud to present “Nature Circles Mandala Workshop: Making Art with Found Objects” with artist and writer, Beth Adoette Monday, April 29, 2019 11am-12:30pm as part of ArtWeek.
This workshop, and introduction to Eco-Art Wellness, incorporates mindfulness, introspection, and group discussion. Each participant will create their own, individual nature mandala or “nature circle.” A great exercise for anytime of the year.
All supplies and nature objects will be provided. As nature mandalas are created to honor the moment and objects are meant to be shared with others reinforcing the idea of connection, mandalas will not be taken home. But a photograph of each mandala will be given to each participant.
Born in the Appalachian Mountains, Beth grew up with beech trees, hemlock, mountain streams and chickadees in her hand. Once an editorial illustrator, Beth now concentrates on writing, illustrating and photographing what she calls the “contemplative, sacred circles” she discovers or co-creates with nature.
