Cape Cod Museum of Natural History Mushrooming with Rachel Goclawski

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents Introduction to Mushrooming with Wild Foods Foraging Guide, Rachel Goclawski. Mushrooming can be a fun and safe hobby if you know the guidelines. Rachel will get you started on your journey with an interactive presentation, followed by a walk to find some beginner and novice-level mushrooms! Her talk takes us through mushrooming safety, beginner-friendly identification techniques and tips for collecting and preparing mushrooms. Wild mushroom specimens will be available for hands-on identification experience. Wear good walking footwear, insect repellent, and bring a cloth or paper bag or basket for collection, and a pocketknife or shears.
