Event Description:
Join the CCMNH Bee Team for fun activities as they bring community awareness of the importance of honeybees through education and the promotion of cooperation among growers, homeowners and beekeepers. Learn all about beekeeping; life in the hive with the workers, drones and the queen; pollination and collecting nectar; and bee products such as honey and bees wax.
 
Activities include:
 
  • Live Bee Hive openings: 12:00pm & 12:45pm ~ $4 Mem/$5 Non-Mem ~ Reservations recommended
  • CCMNH Bee Team docents at the indoor observation hive to answer all your questions about the honeybee and their incredible life in and out of the hive: 9:30am–12:00pm & 1pm – 3pm
  • Honeybee and pollinator arts & crafts
  • The film “Silence of the Bees” playing continuously all day in The John Hay Room
