Name: Brewstr Ladies' Library presents The Hyannis Airport 1928-1948: A Presentation with Sharon D. Anderson, PhD, and Dorothy Skelley
Date: March 18, 2023
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT
Event Description:

Join us for a book presentation that covers a little-known piece of Cape Cod History. The Hyannis Airport 1928-1948 is an authentic history of the Hyannis Airport,  not an overview. It is written from the actual original airport log and the original pilots log. It chronicles the birth of the airport, the growth of aviation and tourism here, and Cape Cod’s role in the safety of the country before and during WWII. The log is sprinkled with anecdotes of rum runners and speakeasies, and names many of the celebrities who flew in here. It also names the original Hyannis Airport Corporation  stockholders and board of directors, one of which was Amelia Earhart.
