About the Authors

Janet Edmonds spent her childhood summers in the fresh water lakes of the Adirondacks. During a quick getaway from Boston to Cape Cod, she recognized herself as a sand and salt water person. Her soles and soul sizzled with a feeling of having found home during a wintry walk on Sandy Neck followed by an icy hike on Race Point Beach in Provincetown. A year later she moved to Barnstable and started to write poetry about her experiences and observations here. Small Craft is her first book. Earlier poems have been published in small journals.

Mary Petiet is an award-winning author, poet, and publisher from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She is the founder of Independent publishing house Sea Crow Press and a contributor to many magazines and anthologies, including Edible Cape Cod Magazine. Mary is the author of Moon Tide: Cape Cod PoemsWash Ashore: a Tale of Cape Cod, and Owl Magic. She divides her time between Cape Cod and the Netherlands.

Marcia Peck’s prize-winning short fiction has appeared in New Millennium WritingsChautauqua JournalGlimmer Train, among others. Her debut novel Water Music: A Cape Cod Story grew out of cherished memories of the many summers she spent on Cape Cod with her family. Before finding a home with Sea Crow Press, Water Music was named runner-up for the Faulkner-Wisdom Novel-in-Progress Award. A cellist, Marcia recently retired from the Minnesota Orchestra, where she spent her musical career.
