Brewster Ladies' Library Reception for These & Those: The Art of Peggy Masce-Hosford

“These & Those” is an exhibit of the creative work of Peggy Masce-Hosford, a multi-talented local Brewster artist, running through the month of December at the Brewster Ladies' Library. This show will feature “these” watercolors of Landscapes, Still-Lifes and especially Portraits. Some of the portrait faces may be familiar to the viewers. Ms. Hosford considers watercolors to be the most difficult medium to work in and portrait work to be the most difficult subject matter, thus the ultimate challenge that has engaged her for the past four years.

“Those” items also being shown are the quirky Driftwood Dudes, back again at the Ladies' Library. Those imaginative wooden doll-like figures are made from local driftwood and beach debris, each with their own personality and name. Most of their arms and legs move and they are designed to hang outside on the porch or in the garden when the weather is mild.

“These & Those” Should be an entertaining show for all ages and perhaps the source of a one-of-a-kind holiday gift.
