Brewster Ladies' Library presents History of Glassmaking with the Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society
Join us at the Brewster Ladies Library for an illustrated talk on the history of glassmaking in Sandwich and the stories preserved by the Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society. Drawing on highlights from the Museum’s collection, the presentation traces the rise of the Sandwich glass industry, the people behind it, and its lasting impact on Cape Cod, while highlighting how the Museum shares this history through exhibitions and educational programs that encourage lifelong learning.
Bonnie Campbell Lilienfeld is Curator at the Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society, where she oversees the care, interpretation, and exhibition of the Museum’s collections. She previously served as Ceramics and Glass Curator and Associate Director at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, bringing extensive experience in American history, decorative arts and material culture. Her work focuses on using objects to illuminate the history of glassmaking in Sandwich and its lasting significance.
