Brewster Ladies' Library presents Coastal Resistance
On February 18, the second in the series will focus be on coastal resilience. Chris Gloninger, senior climate scientist with the Woods Hold Group, will provide background on the science of climate mitigation and adaptation, provide examples of how storms and other weather events are impacting our local shoreline and properties, and review some of the actions taken by other communities. He will be followed by Steve McKenna, the Cape and Islands’ Coordinator for the Massachusetts Coastal Zone Management office, who will speak about actions Cape communities are taking to promote coastal resiliency.
