Brewster Ladies' Library presents Brewster's Trees & Forests
The first program of our three-part series will explore the historical, current, and future conditions of Brewster’s trees and forests, one of our most under-appreciated environmental safeguards. Barnstable County’s Cooperative Extension Agriculture expert Russel Norton will show how the region’s forests have fared over time, discuss their importance to environmental health, and offer insights about future trends. Chris Powicki, Coordinator for the Cape and Islands Sierra Club group, will follow with approaches for community action to protect these important resources.
