Professor Lex Paulson will share his adventure story of ideas, Cicero and the People’s Will, showing how the ancient Roman thinker—surviving plots, exile, and the rise of Julius Caesar—created the model for all modern republics. Could his story point the way past elitism and populism to a politics of collective intelligence? Dr. Paulson is Executive Director of the UM6P School of Collective Intelligence (Morocco) and lectures in advocacy at Sciences Po-Paris.
