Brewster Ladies' Library Assoc. Discovery & Enrichment Series Presents: Extreme Weather: Is Climate Change the Cause?

Former chief meteorologist Chris Gloninger will address extreme weather and its causes. He will share his own story: his career in Boston and move to Iowa, where he received death threats following his coverage of climate change, and his return to the Cape to join the Woods Hole Group as a senior climate scientist. Gloninger first became interested in weather when Hurricane Bob hit his hometown of Sag Harbor, NY. He went on to study weather through internships and academic studies, receiving a B.S. degree from Plymouth State. He has traveled all over the country to cover every kind of weather, including hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, and Nor’easters. He has been honored with three Regional Emmy Awards for his reporting.
