Dr. Francis Delmonico, an internationally renowned transplant expert, will be on hand to separate fact from fiction. He’ll cover the number of transplants performed annually in the U.S. and abroad, medical criteria for getting on a waitlist, paired organ donation, the “Dead Donor Rule,” and more. Dr. Delmonico is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and has practiced as an organ transplant surgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital for more than 40 years.
