Certified florist Rev. Dr. Frank Gada will hold a workshop on the Japanese art of flower arrangement, at Wingate Residences at Brewster Place on Thursday, March 14 at 4:30 p.m. Japanese flower arrangement, also known as Ikebana (translation: “giving life to flowers”), is a centuries-old tradition of flower arrangements to represent different seasons through a minimalist aesthetic. Rev. Dr. Gada, a certified floral artist and Regional Director for the U.S. Biblical Botanical Gardens Society, will lead the workshop and help attendees build their own Japanese-style floral arrangement. Light refreshments and cocktails will be served.
