The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is proud to present "Glimpses of the Natural World" by photographer Susan Jarek-Glidden
November 1 - December 30, 2018
Glimpses of the Natural World attempts to showcase the beauty of Cape Cod. In addition to flora and fauna, Susan has also included weather conditions, several abstracts and "pho-quilts", a photographic genre Susan created that consists of her original photographs cut into shapes Viewed up close, the individual photos can be seen; from a distance, they combine to form a quilt pattern. She hopes that the latter will engage your imagination.
Susan holds a Ph.D. from Boston University and has been interested in photography since she was a little girl. Since that time, her work has been shown in galleries and various other venues in New Hampshire, Marblehead, Boston, the U.S. Constitution Museum, and throughout Cape Cod. She was also chosen by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to hold a solo artist show entitled "A Photographer's View of Deer Island". She lives in Yarmouth with her husband Tony and their beloved seal point Siamese cat, Maluska Anastasia.
