What's behind the huge increase in efforts to ban books and programming in public libraries? Learn about public policies that are enabling such censorship and efforts to curb it. We’ll also discuss how libraries are responding and how people can get involved. Professor Laura Saunders of Simmons University's School of Library and Information Science will join us on Zoom for this provocative program. We’ll serve light refreshments at the South Yarmouth Library if you'd like to join us to view the lecture with a group; no registration is required.
This program is offered in partnership with Yarmouth Town Libraries. Register here to receive a Zoom link: https://www.eventkeeper.com/code/events.cfm?curOrg=YARMOUTH&curMonth=10&curYear=2024&curMode=ADMIN&curHelp=&curMonth=10&curYear=2024&SelectedDate=10/24/2024#10/24/2024
