Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod, Inc. (HHCC) is proposing to build two new Affordable homes on a portion of a 1.58-acre parcel of land at 3571 Main Street, Brewster. Habitat plans to locate and build these homes, northerly of an existing home on the property. Both will be deed restricted in perpetuity for households at or below 80% AMI.
The project is a collaborative effort between the Brewster Conservation Trust and HHCC that maximizes the use of the property at 3571 Main Street for long term public benefit, being the conservation of the Washington Chase Bog (5+/- acres of wetlands) and woodlands (7+/- acres of dry uplands), future recreational trails, and much needed affordable housing on the remainder 1.58 acre parcel.
Habitat will share information regarding the permitting of the project at Brewster Ladies' Library, 1822 Main Street, on Tuesday, December 10th from 5 to 6 p.m. (formal presentation will start at 5:15). And by Zoom on Wednesday, December 12th from 4 to 5 p.m. Please email Beth Wade, Director of Project Development at land@habitatcapecod.org for the link.
