Arts Empowering Life Beauty for Ashes: A Baroque Meditation by Gaudete Baroque Ensemble
$35 General; $30 Seniors; Free for Students & YouthEnter into this season of reflection with a Baroque meditation expressing both sorrow and joy. Featuring Vivaldi’s Sinfonia al Sancto Sepulcro, as well as works by Bach, Corelli, Purcell, and Albinoni's beautiful Sonata a Cinque in A major, the music will paint “a crown of beauty for ashes and festive praise instead of despair.” (Is. 61:3) As you listen, be illumined by the frescoes and sacred art of the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans.
