SUMMARY:CCMNH: Forest Bathing
DESCRIPTION:The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History\n\npresents\n\nForest Bathing: Deepening Our Relationship with Nature\n\nwith CCMNH Field Guide Carol Marcy\n\n2024 Spring Sessions\n\n \n\nBREWSTER\, MA The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents Forest Bathing: Deepening our Relationship with Nature with CCMNH Field Guide Carol Marcy.\n\n \n\n The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History gives you a very special opportunity to deepen your relationship with Nature because of the unique environments provided by marsh\, creek\, forest\, and beach. Come on a guided walk where you will be shown how to pay attention in a new way.\n\n \n\nThe concept of forest bathing grew out of a practice in Japan called Shinrin-yoku that spread to China and Korea and now to the United States. It is about swimming in the living being of the forest: drinking in the smells\, feeling the breeze on your skin\, hearing wind move through the trees\, soaking up the warm healing rays of the sun\, noticing the vast array of colors and shapes of life around you\, experiencing Nature. This is a meditative practice. By slowing down\, connecting with awareness to the abundant life in and around you\, this walk can be immensely healing. This experience helps you to feel refreshed\, calmer\, and peaceful. \n\n \n\nCarol Marcy has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and master's degree in dance/Movement Therapy and a Certified Meditation teacher.\n\n \n\nMAY \n\nFridays: \n\n17th @ 10:30am-12pm\n\n24th @ 10am-11:30am\n\n31st @ 10:30am-12pm\n\n \n\nJUNE: \n\nTuesdays & Fridays\n\n4th @ 12:30pm-2pm\n\n7th @ 10am-11:30am\n\n14th @ 10:30am-12pm\n\n21st @ 1:30pm-3pm\n\n25th @ 10:30am-12pm\n\n28th @ 10:30am-12pm\n\n \n\n*Rain cancels the walk / The walk is approximately 1.5 miles round-trip over somewhat challenging terrain and lasts approximately 90 minutes.\n\n \n\nTickets online only at www.ccmnh.org / $12 per person / Ages 15 and up \n\nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED/LIMITED SPACE/Does not include Museum admission.\n\n\n\n\n\nCCMNH\, 869 Main Street\, Brewster
