Later\, she moved to Cairo\, Egypt to teach in an international school and began painting the interesting people and street scenes. "History is everywhere and the unique activities of life on the street fascinate me. Over the next 20 years\, Marje continued painting and teaching internationally in Senegal\, the United Arab Emirates\, and Guyana. Each year\, she returned to the Cape to teach in the KidSummer art program at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster before retiring to Dennis Port in 2022.
