SUMMARY:Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents Nature Screen Curiosity Stream’s “The True Story of King Tut’s Tomb” Two Showings Each Day!
DESCRIPTION:BREWSTER\, MA The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster continues its Nature Screen film series celebrating Massachusetts Archaeology Month with "The True Story of King Tut's Tomb"\, a Curiosity Stream documentary.\n\n \n\nTutankhamun (c. 1341 B.C.E. to c. 1323 B.C.E.)\, is colloquially known as King Tut. At the age of 9 he was the 12th pharaoh of the 18th Egyptian dynasty known as the New Kingdom\, and reined from approximately 1332 to 1323 B.C.E. until his death at age 19.\n\nAfter his death\, King Tut disappeared from history until the discovery of his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter. Since then\, studies of his tomb\, remains\, and treasures have revealed much information about his life and times\, making Tutankhamun one of the best known ancient Egyptian kings. \n\nAlmost 100 years after the discovery of King Tut's Tomb\, it is time to tell the story in a new light. Using 2D and 3D imagery to reconstruct the tomb\, the mummy\, and the spectacular funerary objects that number over 5\,000 pieces including over 2\,000 pieces of gold and jewelry\, scientists are able to reveal new secrets!
