SUMMARY:Brewster Ladies' Library Forest Bathing Walk Session I
DESCRIPTION:This program is being held at an off-site location\, which will be emailed to you upon registration. This is a single program\, and not part of a series. \n\nSession I Rain Date: Wednesday\, July 23rd from 10-11:30am\n\nThe Earth and Her woodlands have a tremendous amount to teach us. On this walk you will be invited to slow down\, tune into your sensory awareness\, drink in the beauty and mystery of this magnificent environment and be welcomed into this living community. Through several guided meditations that augment our experience and an understanding of some of the scientific background\, we come to feel a natural part of this living whole. As Chief Seattle said in 1854\, we did not invent the web of life\, but are merely a strand on it. Please join in this adventure into peace\, deep appreciation and wholeness on one of Brewster's beautiful Conservation Trust trails.\n\nAbout the Presenter: In her former life\, Carol Marcy was a psychologist and a certified meditation teacher\, who when appropriate would take her clients for walks or lead retreats in the beautiful woods surrounding her office. She could see how this experience helped people open up more deeply and led them into a deep sense of peace and calm. When she retired to the Cape in 2017\, she began to hear about a practice that was new to this country. The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster was willing to take a chance and together they implemented a weekly program of Forest Bathing walks. They also allowed her to start a training program for future guides. She does walks for the Center for the Spiritual Journey in Chatham as well as other organizations around the Cape.
